Christmas of 2000, NCWVHBA member Tom, and his wife, Carol, reflected on underprivileged children all around WV. They wanted to do something meaningful to spread holiday cheer to those children. So, they started Tom's Toy Fund, a gift exchange to give toys to children all around WV.

Your session fee helps spread joy to ensure more underprivileged children receive toys and gifts that we may take for granted.

Together, we're hoping to raise $1,000 for a cause that matters right here in Morgantown and across WV.

Making Spirits Bright: BOX SESSIONS EDITION

EVERY BOX HOLDS A LITTLE WONDER

The story is not “kids sitting in boxes.” The story is that childhood is filled with delight,

imagination, movement, personality and little moments that cannot be wrapped or replaced.

Your finished canvas becomes a collection of who they are right now: the goofy face, the quiet smile, the sibling connection, the favorite stuffed animal, the little hands and feet.

At the same time, each participating family helps give that feeling of wonder to a child through your local Toy Drive.

This year's Making Spirits Bright: Box Session Edition is hosted in partnership with The Playroom + Coffee Corner, the beloved local indoor boutique play space for littles. Your session takes place right at the Playroom in Morgantown, WV, where they're opening their doors to make the day feel special and filled with childhood wonder. Grab a delicious coffee at their coffee corner while your child will have the opportunity for play before or after your session time.

I love photographing and celebrating family relationships and your child's unique personalities. I aim to slow down even just for a little bit with my families during the hustle of the holiday season during our Making Spirits Bright Event. I want us to always be reminded of what and who matters most while also giving back to our community. Over the last few years, we've raised over $1,000 for local causes with our Making Spirits Bright events.
